EMPOWERING ENTREPRENEURS,
ADVANCING SMEs

We help entrepreneurs to buy, lead and grow established businesses.

SearchRight invests in entrepreneurial individuals who wish to buy existing, small-to-medium size business (SMEs) and manage them to further growth and prosperity.

This investment strategy, referred to as Search Fund investing, involves our support throughout all stages of the process - from the initial search and acquisition to managing and growing the business to a successful exit.

A Smart Path to Entrepreneurship

For aspiring entrepreneurs, Search Funds offer an attractive alternative to starting a business from scratch.

A Unique Investment Opportunity

Investors, on the other hand, gain access to an alternative asset class with attractive returns in a diversified portfolio.

Focused European Investments

Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, we co-invest in Search Funds and the businesses they acquire, with a focus on selected European markets.

OUR MISSION IS TO ADVANCE SMEs, BY EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURS.

As the “baby boomer” generation reaches their retirement age, a vast number of European SMEs will be seeking new ownership and management in the years to come.

Due to an ageing population, SME owners find it increasingly difficult to successfully transfer their business

Search Funds can play a meaningful role in SME successions, as experienced and talented professionals are teaming up with business owners to acquire & continue their life’s work.

With our focus on investing exclusively in European Search Funds, we provide our investors the opportunity to participate in a diversified portfolio of established SMEs in need of a new owner & CEO to lead them to future growth and prosperity.

Our Approach

Selection process

Our decision to invest in a Searcher is based on our Searcher Recruitment Philosophy. Applying this approach helps us to assess and evaluate our searchers in an actual business environment. It also strengthens our investment decisions and maximizes the chances of a successful acquisition, a sustainable business growth and -eventually- a profitable exit.

Comprehensive advice & support

We provide coaching and resources to Searchers throughout the acquisition process and beyond, acting as a sounding board and helping them to drive business growth. We rely on a pool of seasoned (ex-) entrepreneurs and management professionals who are ready to take board positions in the acquired businesses.

Preserving the legacy

Acting as a "bonus child" to business sellers, the Searchers we invest in ensure a seamless business transfer and continued growth and profitability, so the founder’s legacy is preserved

Global Collaboration

By partnering with investors worldwide, we enable and participate in co-investment opportunities, foster international growth and collaboration while reducing risk
